A DIFFERENT WAY TO LEARN
Tutoring that starts with the learner.
There isn’t one right way to learn. Sessions are shaped around what the learner already knows, where they’re getting stuck and what they want to achieve.
01
Start with a chat
We talk through what the learner needs, what’s been difficult so far and what they’d like to achieve.
02
Agree the focus
We decide what to prioritise first — whether that’s subject knowledge, exam preparation, confidence, study skills or a mixture.
03
Learn, practise and adapt
Sessions are structured around clear goals, with explanations and activities adjusted as we go.
04
Review progress
We regularly check what’s improving, what still needs work and whether the focus needs to change.
Support can be academic, practical or a mixture of both — and it can change as the learner’s needs change.

Who tutoring can work well for
Sometimes tutoring is about more than getting better at a subject. The right support can help when learning has become difficult, disrupted or overwhelming.
Learners who need extra support alongside school
Learners who have missed periods of education
Home-educated learners
Learners who need to rebuild confidence
Learners who find traditional classroom teaching difficult
Adults returning to learning or developing academic skills

Not sure where to start?
You don’t need to know exactly what kind of support you need before getting in touch. We can talk through what’s going on and work out what might fit best.
